Zoe Green

Zoe Green at Josephine sculptor Park

Zoe paints portraits and segmented parts of the body that show intense color and emotion, with darker, quieter undertones of her past religion and struggles with mental illness. Her small sculptures show red string and flowers encapsulated in a clear resin cast of Mother Mary, mirroring the similar feelings of a delicate violence in her portraits. She attempts to connect and build empathy through her art, and invite viewers to look at what lurks under the surface of her life and others.

Zoe painted this large mural as an intern artist at JSP in 2018.
