I have two missions as an artist:
- To ensure that the traditional craft of Bentwood Willow Furniture is passed from one generation to the next. Only about twenty people in the world practice this lost craft and way of life. Like the generations before, I forage the land for willow with a machete in hand. Willow is a sustainable resource that is found worldwide, making the craft accessible to anyone who has the will and dedication to learn.
- To educate the general public about ecology, biology, and sustainability through a series of Eco-art sculptures and Creative Community Projects inspiring positive change in the way our society views, values, and interacts with the natural world.
