Why Jeri Katherine Howell Loves Symphonic Stroll

"This event is my jam. . . I take time to experience the event’s magic firsthand."

It is a creatively fulfilling and professional honor to help make Symphonic Stroll with Lexington Philharmonic happen at Josephine Sculpture Park! Back for the fourth year in a row, join us for an evening of immersive music, art, nature, and this year, dance on Saturday, September 7! Paired with sculptures throughout the park, LexPhil musicians perform chamber music continually from 4PM-8PM with a special appearance by Lexington Ballet dancers at select locations. This inclusive event for all-ages features live music, interactive music activities, and local food trucks.

As a musician, art, and nature lover - this event is my jam. Each year, I take time to experience the event’s magic firsthand.

LexPhil musicians’ performances make the sculptures come alive with sound, and the greenery illuminates. Each footstep fills with glee and wonder, as I meander through the paths to the next performance, greeting butterflies and smiling event goers. My brain lights up and I laugh joyfully as I create new sounds at LexPhil’s MusicLab. I “high five” organizers, staff, and volunteers in thanks - the folks that make this night run smoothly. And I wind down at a shaded table with delicious food and sweet treats from one of the many food trucks.
