My work has always been one-of-a-kind with some limited production. I make gallery pieces and sculptures and many cups and bowls and tableware pieces, but I’m always making subtle and not so subtle variations in clay body, size and shape, and glazes used. About one third of my pieces are wood-fired.
His whimsical and unorthodox approach to design brought him many fans and collectors of works created in either his gas fired or wood fired kilns.Ê He worked as an artist-in-residence in schools across Kentucky leading students to create tile murals that still grace the walls of many schools, including those of Owen County.
