Thank you, JSP Conservation Volunteers, Kentucky State University NAACP & Forestry & Natural Resources Program!

On a frosty November morning, a crew of eleven volunteers worked to remove the invasive callery/Bradford pear tree from a section of the park. We are forever grateful to our amazing volunteer crew, led by Jody Thompson of Kentucky State University’s Forestry & Natural Resources Program with support from the Kentucky State University NAACP and JSP’s conservation volunteer team. With their help, we are making JSP a more biodiverse place!

Join us for our next Invasive Plant Removal Volunteer Day on Thursday, December 9 either from 10am-noon or 1-3pm (or both!). Let us know you’re coming by registering. Thank you!
