Spring Break Camp
1 to 5:30pm
Come to Josephine Sculpture Park’s Spring Break Camp to learn about regional animal adaptations and biodiversity, and create your own creatures out of clay. From 1 to 2pm, environmental educator Jeri Katherine Howell and campers will explore the exciting world of animal adaptations and biodiversity through interactive activities that integrate grades 3-5 Kentucky Academic Standards for science. Campers will then have a snack and play break. From 2:30 to 5:30pm, artist Marianne Brown will guide campers through the basics of ceramics using regular and air dry clay to mold and paint their own “face mug” family, inspired by the diverse critters in our region.
$115 per student. Price includes all materials (clay, paint, bisque, tools and clay firing), instruction from two experienced and dynamic educators, and a healthy snack. Parents/guardians may drop off and pick up their camper; instruction only for children.
Space is limited. Reserve and purchase your camper’s spot today!
