The Grand Theatre (Frankfort, KY)
Tara Remington (Remi) is an American multidisciplinary artist living in Louisville KY, whose processes include public art, installation, printmaking, drawing, photography and sculpture. Her work has a focus on mindful social justice around reflecting on equality and fairness for all humanity and the conservation and preservation of our shared earth. Remi produces interactive art to engage the viewer on multiple sensory levels.
While in residence at JSP this summer, Remi will create an innovative seat/larger-than-life-sized hand sculpture out of natural building materials using the cob building method. Remi will engage the community through on-site workshops and interactive artmaking to build the sculpture as a community effort – see our event calendar for how you can get involved!
Remi’s Artist Talk at The Grand Theatre will explore her current work and residency at JSP. Remi’s residency is made possible through support by the National Endowment for the Arts.
