Explore a nature-based sustainable art practice using the cob building method with JSP Artist in Residence, Tara Remington (known as “Remi”). During this 2-hour private workshop, you will learn how to build with cob by applying the method to Remi’s sculpture, and explore Remi’s artistic practice and process. The result will be a larger-than-life-sized TerraHand interactive sculpture that overlooks a shaded forest area at Josephine Sculpture Park. One by one, you and Remi will learn and create together to build a place of rest, meditation, and healing for the Earth and community.
Please bring a mask and gloves (leather, gardening or rubber/latex work fine) to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19. This is a HANDS-ON workshop, so please wear clothes you do not mind getting muddy. You may also want to bring water, sunscreen, and insect repellant.
