KY Gives Day 2020 for Josephine Sculpture Park
May 12 @ 12:00 am - 11:59 pm
May 12, 2020, be part of the BIGGEST single day of GIVING in KY and support your favorite non-profit organizations! Your donation on May 12 will keep the park alive:)
A donation link will be added here on May 12, or donate through our website at any time. THANK YOU!
Josephine Sculpture Park connects our community with the land through the arts. We provide free arts education and creative experiences while conserving the beauty of Kentucky’s native, rural landscape. We believe the ARTS are for EVERYONE! Our 30-acre park is free and open 365 days per year. It features a rotating exhibition of nearly 70 contemporary artworks placed throughout the natural landscape. We provide educational workshops and events that explore the arts and the environment.
Your gift at this time is needed more than ever! Due to our temporary closure, we have transitioned our hands-on programming to be accessible through social media and email in an effort to support more families at home with their kids. Our Night Sky Tour and Nature Tour are now offered as self-guided activities that people can enjoy in their own backyards each month and we’ve even started a new program called Sculpture Saturday during which our Park Manager posts a video tour featuring a different sculpture in the park each week. You are keeping the park alive!
In addition, we are working hard on the grounds and facilities so that when we are able to restart our in-person programs and events, we will be ready to welcome you back with exciting new art installations, wildlife habitat improvements, an artist designed nature playground and an improved Visitor Center experience!
Positively, we are seeing an increased number of people making art using our social media activities and exploring the outdoors on their own. We hope this is a lasting trend as we firmly believe this will have a healing effect on our entire community. Please stay well, be safe and we will see you at the park again soon!
