Brown Like Me: After-School Arts Program for Young Women of Color in Frankfort with Artist Kristie Powe

We are celebrating Thankful for Artists Thursday a little early this week, so you know it’s important! Frankfort-based artist Kristie Powe is launching Brown Like Me, a virtual after-school arts program for middle and high school girls of color in Frankfort. Registration due this Thursday, March 18 via email to [email protected]! Registration emails should include answers to the following information: participant name, email address, school, age, and how it feels to be a young woman of color in Frankfort. More details in the photo. Please help share this program with youth and families!

Kristie is a member of the Black Women Artists Network supported by Yes Arts – formerly Hands Healing HeArts and JSP thanks to a grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women. She is also an integral leader in Focus On Race Relations – FORR Frankfort, of which JSP is an organizational member. We are incredibly thankful for Kristie and know this program will be amazing!!!
