Kari Reardon

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kari Reardon is a Los Angeles based artist originally from Minneapolis Minnesota. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1999 after studying at the Studio Arts Center in Florence Italy and completed her MFA in 2012 from the California Institute of the Arts. Kari has been a recipient of numerous grants, residencies, and fellowships throughout the US and internationally. Currently, she has a studio in Mount Washington and teaches sculpture, bronze casting, and beginning 3-D design at California State University Northridge.


The top sculpture is currently on exhibition at River View Park in downtown Frankfort, KY as part of the JSP Art in Public Places Program, Arts2O.


The Kentucky River Children’s Mural can be seen in the background. It was created by, Jennifer Zingg and Travis Kelley along with over 200 local children who participated through a series of summer camps. It can be seen at the Ward Oates Amphitheatre in downtown Frankfort. More information about their project can be found HERE.
